BONACAUD IN KERALA

Bonacaud (Kerala state, India) is the base station of the famous peak, Agasthyarkoodam in the Agasthya hills. The Agasthya hill range is famous for its abundance of rare herbs and medicinal plants.
There is a tea estate in Bonacaud, established by Britishers. The hill resort Ponmudi is near to Bonacaud. Bonacaud(natively called Bonakkad) is now used as a base camp for trekking to Agasthyakoodam. It has lots of shooting locations including the forests, waterfalls and tea estates.
It is located at 8°45′25″N 77°11′20″E

The place has the famous Bona Falls a truly enthralling place with a lot of fauna. Vazuvanchola near Bona falls is also famous for its waterfalls

The estate has almost thousand five hundred employees till 90S. Due to improper salary, all the people went off the estate. It was such a large and good tea estate. It was hoped that the estate was established by British people and British manager were managed the estate till 70s. The major employees were migrated from different part of Tamil Nadu to this estate.
